[attr="class","rcappleft2"] [attr="class","rcappleft3"] [attr="class","rcappleft4"] [attr="class","rcapplefttitle"]CHARACTER ABILITIES [attr="class","rcappleft51"] natsu considers himself human in every regard, but his whole existence is anything but. he is a mage from guild of mages, "fairy tail" as it is notoriously called. he was raised by a dragon, who taught him how to read and write and use fire dragon magic. but before that, he was born from a book fashioned by zeref dragneel, who swore to resurrect his little brother, and then who, in his little brother’s image, created natsu. thus, making natsu's true race an etherious (demon). he has enhanced strength, hearing, smell, speed, and durability. his greatest weakness is motion sickness, rendering him completely immobile and a liability in combat.[break][break] DRAGON SLAYER MAGIC: FIRE natsu possesses a unique magical ability to produce and consume fire. his father, igneel, was the dragon that taught him this ancient magic. natsu readily uses this magic in combat, combining his flames with melee attacks, from quick striking moves to slow-but-high-damaging moves that all have this fiery kick to it. because he cannot physically ignite high amounts of flames, he has to consume fire in order to replenish/store up for it. his own emotions can increase the temperatures of his flames too, when fired up or angered. and because natsu is easily excitable, he has been known to cause a lot of property damage.[break][break] LOCKED: MODES there's an extension to natsu’s magical abilities and its typically dubbed as "modes" or "magical states" that he would undertake depending on the types of "flames" he eats. the first is his "lightning fire dragon mode" which was triggered after he ate laxus dreyar's lightning magic and converging the two (his and laxus' magic) into powerful attacks. the second is his "black fire dragon mode" which was activated after natsu fused dark regulus magic with his flames. the third is "fire dragon king mode" is a new level of highly destructive fire magic, but best combined with igneel's powers. even though all these abilities are in natsu's arsenal, they will be locked and never used in this forum, partly because of the conditions that can never be met, and partly because many of these modes can only be used once in a lifetime.[break][break] LOCKED: DRAGON FORCE natsu's final magical state in terms of being a fire dragon slayer. much like the other modes, this condition can only be achieved if he takes in high amounts potent magical energy, such as etherion or flame of rebuke. the power that is unleashed is equal to that of a dragon's own power. and thus, since it requires external magical substances to unleash it, this is also a locked ability that he will not be able to access at will, regardless of his emotional state. Princess Hisui would hold an awesome, country-wide banquet in celebration of their victory. He imagined that her pumpkin-head of a father would probably step down as king, and would raise her up as the new queen of Fiore. Natsu certainly believed she deserved it, and that she was ready for it—although, he supposes he doesn’t know much about the responsibilities of being a ruler, but if anyone could do it, Natsu's vote would be Hisui. He had seen her for who she is. He had fought against her, with and now alongside her. He saw her mistakes and saw her work towards redemption. He imagined Fiore's future would be just as bright, if not brighter, than ever before.[break][break] He wondered what would become of the Alvarez Empire, now that it was without their centuries old emperor. He imagined they would have to start over, that the war they fought in had left a permanent scar, just as it scarred those they fought against. They would have to reorganize themselves, and choose between staying still or moving forward. Their path won't be easily, it would be filled with distrust and hatred and maybe another war will break out before this empire can truly hold themselves up again. Natsu imagined that Hisui, as the new queen, would extend her hand and offer them an alliance. He imagined that she would help them move forward, to rekindle peace and prosperity between two warring countries. He imagined the Alvarez Empire will right itself up in time, with time.[break][break] What would become of the others, all those guys who joined Fairy Tail and aided in the protection of their kingdom? He hadn't heard any news, if they would alive or dead. But trusted that they wouldn't have died, that they were very much alive, still kicking, still shouting triumphantly. There was so many things he still wanted to do with them, like train with them, battle them, talk and eat bountiful meals with them. They were his friends really, like those guys from Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, and Sabertooth. He wouldn't mind seeing just one of them again, but… He imagined them all there, at Hisui's massive party, asking about where he was, waiting for him to jump out, all decorated in the king's royal garbs and adorning Hisui's crown and laughing wildly at them because it was all just too funny. He wished he could be there, to see their astonished and merry faces again.[break][break] But there's an entire ocean separating him from them, and it hurts. There's an entire ocean separating him from his family and home.[break][break] Fairy Tail. It was thanks to this guild that Natsu was able to walk the right path, the fun and adventurous and mysterious path. Despite the circumstances of his birth, he was able to learn what being human was like. Love and suffering, tears of joy and sadness, strength gained and loss—he would never experience these things without the company of his friends, his family. His first memory was with Igneel, who raised him as if Natsu was his own child. And when he lost Igneel, when Igneel disappeared without a word or sign, Natsu was lost—orphaned. Fairy Tail took him in and gave him a home and a family worth fighting for. They showed him that he was never really alone, and that he can never truly be alone because of all the connections he made. There were people cheering for him, and people he wanted to cheer for—this was the support of those who love and are loved. This was the warmth that Fairy Tail gave him, that rid of all his memories of lonely, dark nights spent in empty caves.[break][break] Natsu wanted to go home. He didn’t want to imagine things anymore, he wanted to see and know and experience that warmth again. He had spent a month trying to brave that open body of water, and with his crippling motion sickness, endured boat rides after boat rides, only to be ushered back to the island's shore. No matter what he did, he couldn't leave. This was the first time he felt so helplessly trapped, by some larger power that he could hardly fathom. In fact, he wasn't so sure if his country would even be there, across this ocean. It filled him with disappointment, this sense of not knowing.[break][break] So he'll do the only thing he can do: wait. Wait for the others to come find him. He's done it before, and he has never been disappointed by it. He may feel fidgety and annoyed by it, because patience was not his virtue and idly standing by is something he physically could not do, but he has faith in his friends and trust their bonds will bring them together again, eventually. But for now, he'll buy his time. He'll coexist with the people of this island, help them tame their house fires and wildfires and all manners of destructive fires so that he can properly feed and house himself. He'll aid them in all things really because he knows it wasn't their fault that he was trapped here, and that they (or at least, some of them) were trapped here as well. Perhaps with time, he will find his answers. [break][break] Perhaps one day, he'll find a way to leave this place.
